Best Laptop Deal of the Day: Save $500 on Apple’s M5 MacBook Pro

Apple is the latest major player to raise its prices due to the ongoing memory shortage, and you can thank being smack-dab in the middle of the AI revolution for inflated costs. The company’s laptop line, MacBooks, was hit especially hard and saw price increases by the hundreds across the board. Apple’s laptops were already expensive but often worth every penny. When Apple unveiled the standard M5 MacBook Pro in 2025, we were blown away by the new superpowers it hid. Between processing power and the spectacular screen, you can get away with any sort of multitasking, photo or video editing, or any everyday tasks that require your attention. 

But back inside, this M5 Pro MacBook rocks 24GB of unified memory and a 2TB SSD for all your files, programs, and work. Apple says the read and write speeds can also jump to a shockingly-quick 14.5GBps for extra zippy performance. And with all that and a graphics boost, the battery life doesn’t suffer. In fact, Apple itself even claimed it can reach a full 24 hours of use—something we’ve clocked in our testing, but never a selling point the company’s tried to make. 

This particular configuration of the M5 Pro MacBook Pro has a new (and intimidating) $2,999 price tag, thanks to the RAMpocalypse. But this Amazon deal cuts a cool $500 off and alleviates the skyrocketing prices for just a little while. But who knows how long it will last—if you’re in the market for a MacBook, it’s now or never.
