Best Laptop Deal of the Day: Save 31% on This Unbelievable Asus Ultraportable

Perusing the digital shelves for a new laptop? Your choice will impact the level of Zen your day starts with. Staring at a screen all day takes a toll on your eyes, so choosing a display that not only takes care of them but also looks good while doing so is imperative. Not to mention processing power—there’s no stress that adds up like a CPU that can’t keep up with the pace.

What can keep up is the Asus Zenbook 14. It’s a 14-inch OLED laptop that faces fierce competition among a market of superbly slim models, but in PCMag expert Eric Grevstad’s words, it “more than holds its own” in the lineup. Especially in the price department right now, since Best Buy just slashed $400 from the $1,299.99 list price.

OLED displays are sought-after screens for a reason, particularly because of every pixel’s ability to turn on and off and create true pitch-black contrast. It’s especially nice for streaming and everyday contrast, and this laptop’s 14-inch touch-screen rocks 2K resolution in addition to OLED tech for extra-crisp visuals. While its 60Hz refresh rate is relatively standard, it can reach an impressive 500 nits of brightness that makes up for it.

This particular Zenbook 14 runs on an AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 CPU, a 2026 chip built to handle heavy productivity sessions, nimble multitasking, and local AI tasks. You can even get away with light-to-moderate gaming, thanks to this thing! It also offers extended battery life, which is essential when buying an ultraportable laptop.

Supporting all that processing power are 16GB of memory and a solid 512GB solid-state drive, which offers plenty of bandwidth for everyday users, students, and remote workers. When Eric took a closer look at a slightly different configuration, he lauded its generous port selection, handsome OLED touch-screen, long-running battery, and already fair price point. That makes this $400 discount even more tasteful!
