I Found Lenovo’s Legion Go S for $449—the Price of a Switch 2—With This Cyber Monday Deal

I Found Lenovo’s Legion Go S for 9—the Price of a Switch 2—With This Cyber Monday Deal

PC gaming handhelds have taken off ever since the Nintendo Switch changed the mobile gaming paradigm, but they’ve always been a bit pricey compared with the hit Switch. Lenovo has equalized that, at least temporarily, on Cyber Monday with an excellent direct-sold deal on its Legion Go S (the SteamOS-based version).

It might not last very long, but you can grab a Legion Go S with SteamOS for just $449.99 (30% off!), the very same cost as a new Nintendo Switch 2. This deal is only available on Lenovo’s website and via Best Buy, however. The same Cyber Monday markdown on Amazon is a markedly much less appealing one (just 15% off).

I’ve been covering Black Friday and Cyber Monday professionally for nearly 15 years now, so I know a sweet deal when I see one. This one might be one of Cyber Monday 2025’s big highlights if you’ve yet to make the leap to one of these handhelds. As mentioned, you can find this deal at Best Buy and from Lenovo’s online store.

We reviewed the Legion Go S with SteamOS earlier this year, dubbing it “a better Steam Deck” and giving it our Editors’ Choice award in the category and a four-star rating. Yes, it’s a bare-minimum-spec handheld for PC gaming in this form factor, but SteamOS’s lightweight impact on computational resources (versus Windows 11, anyway) helps the device shine.

We also tested its counterpart running Windows 11, and the SteamOS-based Legion Go S performed noticeably better in all of our gaming benchmarks. It’s almost a no-brainer for shoppers looking to dive into this new form of PC gaming while not spending more than Nintendo demands.

For reference, Valve’s iconic Steam Deck OLED proved to be less potent in testing, too, and it costs another $100, at $549 for Cyber Monday. The Steam Deck’s OLED screen is excellent, but with everything else considered, the Legion Go S is still the better deal.
