Best Laptop Deal of the Day: $400 Savings on a Dell OLED Mobile Workstation

Another day, another… OLED? Yes, please. I’m a huge fan of organic light-emitting diode technology, which results in some of the most vibrant colors and deepest contrast you’ve ever seen in a display. Man, does it make a difference! My OLED TV has spoiled me for watching and gaming sessions on other televisions, and I can’t look at my regular Switch the same again. That’s why you should check out today’s laptop deal: an ultraportable Dell XPS 13 with a 13.4-inch OLED display. You can save $400 on this sleek mobile workstation, which is well-suited for travel and provides enough power for productivity tasks performed by employees, students, and others.

Laptop expert Eric Grevstad reviewed a non-OLED XPS 13 9345 and called it “a reliable performer with decent speeds.” It earned an “Excellent” rating, thanks to strong performance in testing that put it ahead of most competitors in HandBrake’s video-editing exercise. Battery life clocks in at around 14 hours, which is more than enough to get through your workload, with some juice left over to unwind. This OLED model has an even brighter and sharper display than our test model, and its touchscreen allows for tap, pinch, and swipe inputs.

If you spend a lot of time consuming or producing content, whether that’s video streaming, gaming, or video and photo editing, you may want to invest in an OLED laptop. It’s a real feast for the eyes, and as an added benefit, they typically use less battery life than their LED counterparts.
