These Memorial Day Desktop and Laptop Deals Will Save You Tons of Cash

The Memorial Day weekend is upon us, and while we hope you’ll spend some time reflecting on those who served our country and paid the ultimate price, we also hope you’ll take advantage of the huge sales that major retailers are dropping. If you’ve been putting off picking up a new PC, the time is now. We review hundreds of computers every year at PCMag, including both desktops and laptops, and the models below are some of our favorites in each price bracket. I’ve found TKTK great deals already, with more to come throughout the weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend Laptop Deals

Apple MacBook Air M5 Deal

One of the biggest deals we’ve seen so far is a 15% discount on the incredible new MacBook Air M5, Apple’s latest upgrade to their creator-focused ultraportable that introduced a new level of performance thanks to the new M5 CPU. We gave this laptop an Editors’ Choice award in our review, saying that even though it looked identical from the outside, it dominated benchmarking tests across the board, felt amazing to use, and had excellent battery life. We consider Apple’s haptic trackpad to be the standard-setter for laptops, and it still feels great. We did say that we’d like to see an OLED upgrade to the screen, but it still works great and delivers good brightness and accurate color.

HP OmniBook 5 Laptop Deal

In our overview of the best laptops for 2026, we rated HP’s OmniBook 5 at the top of the heap as the Windows laptop that will satisfy the most people for a reasonable price. Running off of a capable and power-efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus processor, it performed ably in our benchmarking tests, and in our full review we praised its attractive OLED screen, surprisingly luxurious build quality, and the absolute best battery life of any conventional laptop we’d tested in years, clocking in at a staggering 34 hours and 48 minutes. That’s a ton of stamina, and right now HP has it on sale for $600 off.

Dell 14 Plus Laptop Deal

If you want a solid productivity portable with an Intel-based processor instead, we happily recommend the Dell 14 Plus. In our review, hardware expert Charles Jefferies noted that it “delivers cutting-edge connectivity, impressive battery life, and a premium metal chassis complemented by a versatile port selection,” swinging way above its price range. Dell has a student-focused deal right now dropping $420 off of a very good loadout, including a full terabyte of onboard storage. It’s also optimized for Windows 11’s Copilot features, letting you use voice commands, perform robust searches, and more.

HP OmniBook X Flip 2-in-1 Laptop Deal

Hunting for an ultraportable that delivers solid performance at a budget price? The OmniBook X Flip is a good option, especially at $300 off. We have an extensive review of this unit, praising its excellent 120Hz OLED display and stylish build. The model we reviewed had an AMD processor, but this loadout swaps it for an Intel Core Ultra 5, which is optimized for on-device AI with 40 NPU TOPS, along with an Intel ARC 130V GPU. While it’s not optimized for gaming, if you’re doing everyday productivity tasks or creativity, it’s a great pickup. Other high points include good port selection and decent battery life, although we did point out that the lattice-free keyboard might take a little getting used to.

ASUS ROG Strix G18 Gaming Laptop Deal

Gaming laptops can be astronomically expensive, but smart shoppers know that the deals are out there. Case in point: Best Buy has a massive $500 price drop on the dominating and decadent Asus ROG Strix G18, which delivers high-octane performance to a massive 18-inch screen. We have an extensive review of this laptop, where we noted that it delivered a nearly desktop-quality gaming experience and blazingly fast framerates thanks to the powerful Intel Core Ultra 9 processor paired with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. The display is outrageously good, with 2.5K resolution and a max refresh rate of 240Hz and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. It’s heavy, but you can build some muscle carrying it around.

Acer Aspire Business Desktop Deal

For a great value on an all-around desktop, this Acer is hard to beat at $200 off. While it’s not going to blow the doors off, we have a positive review where PCMag expert Charles Jefferies called it “a lot of PC for not much money,” giving it an Editors’ Choice award. We loved the connectivity options on board here, including Wi-Fi 6E across the 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz bands, including UL MU-MIMO, as well as Bluetooth 5.3 and multi-gig LAN. Ports are plentiful both in the front and back, and storage is also a strong point, with a split system of an internal HDD and internal SSD totaling 1TB. Our only criticism was that sometimes you could hear the fan running.

Apple iMac M4 Deal

Apple blazed the trail for all-in-one computers with the original iMac, and they’ve continued to refine the design and improve the silicon since then. We raved about the iMac M4 in our review, giving it an Editors’ Choice award. The system is built around the gorgeous 14-inch Retina screen, which is ideal for creative apps thanks to its 4.5K (4,480-by-2,520-pixel) resolution, bright colors and great contrast. Under the hood, the M4 processor can tackle all the leading content creation software with ease, and 24GB of system memory lets you multitask all day. We’re also big fans of the new Apple Intelligence tools on board in OSX. Amazon has a 9% price drop right now.
